The Vintage At Kings Canyon is a progressive adult community in the heart of Carson City, Nevada. Located on a piece of lush farmland nestled at the bottom of Kings Canyon to cultivate an organic farm to table lifestyle community.

Logo Design. Details Matter.

Living is in the details. The Vintage is all about the art of slow living. Taking the time to enjoy the details of life. They wanted a logo design that reflected that lifestyle. When The Vintage initially sought Grind Creative’s design expertise they were inspired by artfully designed wine labels and wanted to incorporate the look into their branding. We used the architects hand rendered sketch as the basis for the imagery, while balancing the organic feel with a crisp, custom typography design.

Inspired by Nature

The color palette inspiration comes from the beautiful natural surrounds in the area where the community is being developed. Muted neutrals and a pop of pistachio inspire an active lifestyle in harmony with the natural environment. A subtle woodgrain texture is also used throughout the branded materials to bring the organic feeling to flyers and other printed collateral.

Make an Impact

We printed The Vintage business cards on an ultra thick, 38pt, matte stock. These substantial cards leave a lasting first impression, delivering the brands style of sophistication and simplicity right into your hands.

Stationary Suite

The brands simplicity and sophistication is carried on throughout the stationary suite, allowing The Vintage’s communications to be the focus.

Apprehension to Excitement

The planned community of The Vintage At Kings Canyon was initially a controversial development to the Carson Valley community. Grind Creative is proud to have worked with them to develop a visual identity that showcases their desire to incorporate into the local environment and community in a way that is beneficial to those who live within the area.

Delivering the Message

Apart from the branding and print collateral development, a strong web presence is what is needed to help any plan succeed. We worked with the community developers to create a responsive site that represents The Vintage community values, helps educate the neighbors surrounding the development and addresses some of their key concerns, as well as collect reservations and measure interest in the project as it takes root in the Kings Canyon and Carson Valley area.

User Experience

Slide out contact forms and a frequently asked questions page designed utilizing accordions means the user does not have to hunt and click throughout the site to find the information they’re after. It also maintains a clean visual aesthetic, which is less overpowering to the viewer and helps prevent fatigue from a presentation of too much information at one time.

Illustrative Elements

The architects hand rendered elevations and floor plans are used throughout the site to lend to the organic and natural aesthetic of the brand. This includes an aerial drawing of the planned community with on hover tool tips to highlight, describe and map select attractions and amenities you’ll find at The Vintage At Kings Canyon.
